The National Romanian Language Program for 2026-2028 stipulates that Romanian language proficiency ensures equal access to education, public services and participation in public life for members of national minorities, Logos Press reported.

Starting with the 2026 baccalaureate session, 12th grade graduates of Russian-language schools will be able to be exempted from the Romanian language exam if they receive a certificate proving their level of proficiency in the language beforehand, Logos Press reported.
