The mechanism of temporary protection of Ukrainian refugees will be extended until March 1, 2027, which will ensure them equal rights with Moldovan citizens, Logos Press reported.

From November 2025, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will start phasing out the number of recipients of multipurpose cash assistance in Moldova, Logos Press reports.

Refugees, asylum seekers and other categories of foreign citizens will be able to receive child allowances in Moldova, Logos Press reports.

More than 121 million lei was allocated for medical assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Moldova in 2022-2024. As reported by the National Health Insurance Company (NHIC), this funding was provided by donors under NHIC agreements with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), UNICEF and UNFPA.

The General Inspectorate for Migration provided updated information on the situation of displaced persons from Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens settled in the Republic of Moldova.
