The project on sustainable development of public transport “MOVE IT like Lublin” was completed in Chisinau. It was realized with the financial support of the European Union on the basis of a partnership between the Chisinau and Lublin city halls (Poland). The total budget of the project is 3.5 million euros, of which 3.325 million euros is an EU grant and 175 thousand euros are allocated by the Chisinau City Hall.

The cost of travel in urban public transport in Moldova is 14.7 times cheaper than in Iceland, – reports Logos Press.

Chisinau’s public transport carries almost half a million passengers daily, of which more than 270 thousand use free transportation, Logos Press reports.

The municipality of Balti may receive 10 second-hand Volvo low-floor buses in working condition from the Romanian twin city of Resita (administrative center of Caras-Severin). Thus, the “northern capital” will get its own municipal buses, which the local authorities have been unsuccessfully seeking for the last few years.
