For the second day in a row, oil futures on global markets rose amid uncertainty over oil supplies from Venezuela and over developments in Iran, Logos Press reported.

On average, the price of corn rose by 0.1 lei/kg during two decades of December on the Moldovan market, which was due to limited supply rather than to increased demand, Logos Press reported.

The price of hen’s egg has risen by 20-25% in Moldovan retail, in November the prices for this product exceeded the level of 40 lei per dozen. Poultry farmers attribute this fact to the intensification of exports to the European Union, Logos Press reports.

According to an analysis by the National Bank of Moldova, the total volume of new real estate loans issued at the end of the second quarter of 2025 amounted to 2,798.8 million lei, up 76.9% compared to the same period last year, but down 1.9% compared to the previous quarter, Logos Press reported.

On the grain market of Moldova, as well as in many regions of the world, a rare situation has occurred – the average price for barley has equaled or even exceeded the average price for wheat, including food wheat, – reports Logos Press.

During the last two weeks in Moldova, the wholesale price of locally produced pork (half carcasses) has increased on average by 10-15%, – reports Logos Press.
