In November this year, Ukrainian potatoes in bulk are about 25-30% cheaper than Moldovan potatoes, and during the last month of fall in Ukraine “the second bread” slowly, but getting cheaper, – reports Logos Press.

The poor quality of potatoes is causing more and more complaints of Moldovan consumers in social networks. The leitmotif of the notes is that the waste from peeling the tubers accounts for at least half of the entire product, Logos Press reports.

During the last decade of April 2025, wholesale prices for last year’s potatoes in Moldova increased, on average, by 10% – up to 11 lei/kg, – reports Logos Press.
