The ruling Action and Solidarity (PAS) party is winning the Sept. 28 elections and is well positioned to form a parliamentary majority and appoint a one-party government, Logos Press reported.

The declared expenses for the campaign for the September 28 parliamentary elections by all participants in the electoral race have so far amounted to more than 21.5 million lei,” Logos Press reported.

The parliamentary elections in Moldova on September 28, 2025 promise to be one of the most unpredictable in recent years. No party has yet guaranteed a majority, and the outcome of the vote may depend not only on the internal political struggle, but also on the external context. On the sidelines, there is already talk of possible early elections and coalition intrigues that could change the balance of power in the country.

The outgoing parliament will be remembered for having worked for most of its mandate under a state of emergency (from March 2020 to February 2025 – almost continuously) and unprecedented openness on the part of the EU. It will also be remembered for the record number of women MPs (almost 40%) and the rather “young” average age of our parliamentarians – 47.

The 11th Parliament held its last plenary meeting of the 2025 spring-summer session on Friday, and the last draft approved was the decision to close the session on July 31, Logos Press reported.
