The Central Election Commission (CEC) has approved allocations for parties based on the results of the parliamentary elections. PAS will receive the most. And independent candidates, even those who got more votes than some parties and blocs, remain without funding. This raises questions about the equality of conditions for them to participate in politics, Logos Press reported.

The parliamentary elections were over and the ruling Action and Solidarity party could breathe a sigh of relief: sole rule was assured for another four years.

The National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA), in collaboration with prosecutors from Balti municipality, carried out on Thursday morning investigative actions in a criminal case of money laundering, vote-buying and illegal financing of political formations.

Over the last three election campaigns, the number of polling stations for Moldovan citizens in Western countries has doubled, reaching 297 (the number may still change slightly). Voter participation has also increased – from 150-200 thousand to 330 thousand in the last presidential elections. It is on the basis of these dynamics that the Central Election Commission (CEC) approves the number of polling stations and ballots abroad. As its chairwoman Angelika Karaman noted at the CEC meeting, for this year’s parliamentary elections the Foreign Ministry requested 1,098,000 ballots, including: 105,500 in Russian, 1,500 in Ukrainian and 500 in Gagauz. For comparison, it is planned to print 2,772,255 ballots for the polling stations on the territory of the country.

The Central Election Commission has assessed the required number of ballots and approved the sample and text of the ballot paper for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025,” Logos Press reported.

The parliamentary elections in Moldova on September 28, 2025 promise to be one of the most unpredictable in recent years. No party has yet guaranteed a majority, and the outcome of the vote may depend not only on the internal political struggle, but also on the external context. On the sidelines, there is already talk of possible early elections and coalition intrigues that could change the balance of power in the country.

The electoral period of parliamentary elections has started in Moldova. Formally, the election campaign will start only on August 29, but it feels like it has been going on for a long time. Back in May, the government launched an information campaign “Moldova Poate” (“Moldova can”). The State Chancellery signed a contract with the winner of the tender – SCP PARSEC. The initial estimated total value of the contract was 5 million lei, while the actual value was 4 million 280 thousand lei. According to the contract, the company undertook to ensure about 1 million YouTube videos, more than 200 thousand posters and at least 65 billboards throughout the country.
