The Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) has announced the first National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Olympiad, reports Logos Press.

Biathlete and skier Elizaveta Hlusovici qualified for the XXV Winter Olympic Games less than two weeks before their opening and joined the Moldovan national team, Logos Press reports.

The National Olympic and Sports Committee (NOSC) announced the names of five athletes who have qualified for the XXV Winter Olympics in Italy, Logos Press reported.

Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, who returned to the sport a year ago after a five-year hiatus, has successfully qualified for the XXV Winter Olympics in Italy and continues to outperform many younger competitors.

The Santa Giulia Arena in Italy, where the Olympic hockey tournament is to be held, ran into problems during a test match, according to Logos Press.

Moldova will be represented at the XXV Winter Olympic Games. The president of the National Olympic and Sports Committee (NOSC), Nicolae Juravski, said in an exclusive commentary for Logos Press that Moldova will be represented by six athletes: four in biathlon and two in cross-country skiing. At the moment, five participants are known for sure, while the sixth one – in cross-country skiing – will be determined within two months before the Olympics. The winter sports season traditionally begins in late November or early December, and the Winter Games will be held from February 6-22, 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in northern Italy.

The independent infrastructure and coordination body for the 2032 Olympic Games in Australia has confirmed the suitability of the Fitzroy River to host canoeing events, Logos Press reports.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC), citing climate change and imbalances in the Winter and Summer Games programs, is considering “migrating” a number of sports.
