Over 1.5 billion in dollar equivalent transfers from abroad to individuals last year, reversing the established trend of declining currency flows and supporting solvent demand in the domestic market, according to Logos Press.

In October, the extent to which net demand for foreign exchange from business entities was covered by net supply from individuals was 82%, up from 83.6% in September 2025, Logos Press reported.

The income additionally declared by 185 individuals – citizens who received remittances for postal items in 2024 amounted to 24.7 million lei, Logos Press reported.

Transfers to Moldovan citizens from abroad through payment systems continue to decline, hampering domestic demand, inflation expectations and consumption,” Logos Press reports.
