For the first time in Moldova it was decided to carry out an inventory of gas distribution networks, although the need for this step has been talked about for many years. At the end of August 2025, the Ministries of Energy and Finance, by a joint order, launched a pilot project for the inventory of gas networks in one rural settlement and one city in Moldova.

The National Energy Regulatory Agency has appointed Moldovagaz JSC responsible for ensuring gas supply to the Transnistrian region for the period from September 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, – reports Logos Press.

On August 4, 2025, the Board of Directors of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) approved the decision to revoke the license of 06.11.2018 issued to JSC “Moldovagaz” for natural gas supply activities. The obligations to provide services to consumers are assigned to the state-owned enterprise Energocom JSC.

The Administrative Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency decided to revoke the license issued to Moldovagaz for natural gas supply, Logos Press reported.

Enterprises in the field of energy supply, processing of agro-industrial complex products, trade, credit activity and sociological research have topped the rating of the largest enterprises in Moldova, – reports Logos Press.

Energy Minister Dorin Jungietu presented on June 17 to the staff of Moldovagaz JSC the new composition of the company’s Management Board, approved by the decision of the company’s Supervisory Board on June 9, 2025, – Logos Press reports.

According to unofficial sources, the company paying for natural gas supplies to the Transnistrian region changed in April 2025.
