The two largest dairy factories in Moldova – “JLC” S.A. and “Incomlac” S.A. – reduced their purchase prices for raw milk in December by 10%, Logos Press reports.

MAIA’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries said the Agricultural Interventions and Payments Agency AIPA has completed the process of reviewing and approving for payment “per kilogram of milk” subsidy applications submitted under the sixth phase of direct payments for the livestock sector, Logos Press reported.

The 22.6% increase in milk production in agricultural enterprises recorded by the National Bureau of Statistics for the three quarters of 2025 is due to state subsidies and (thanks to these additional payments) to the improvement of animal ration, – reports Logos Press.

More than 18 million lei was approved by the Agency for Interventions and Payments AIPA last week for payment on farmers’ applications for subsidies, Logos Press reported.

In August, an increasing number of industrial milk producers get involved in the process of negotiations with dairy factories on seasonal adjustment of purchase prices for raw materials, – reports Logos Press with reference to the heads of large livestock farms of dairy direction.

Thanks to the subsidization of livestock farms on the principle of “a fixed amount for each kilogram of milk submitted for processing”, the supply of raw materials to Moldovan dairy factories from local farms has more than doubled,” Logos Press reports.
