MoveUp, Moldova’s first comprehensive professional training program in logistics and supply chain management, was officially launched on January 26, 2026 in Chisinau, Logos Press reported.

New transportation corridors due to the military actions in Ukraine have increased demand for warehouses, industrial parks and logistics hubs in the region. Poland and Romania have joined the preparations for Ukraine’s reconstruction. Once the war ends, traffic flows to and from Ukraine are expected to increase dramatically. The location on the border with Ukraine and the demand from the business community suggest an increase in investments in logistics real estate in Moldova as well.

Low water levels in Moldova’s rivers during the summer and rising tariffs for international sea transport of agricultural products add to the existing risks at the start of the 2025-26 marketing season, according to Logos Press.

Romanian company Grampet Logistics, part of the Grampet Group, will start production of polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) at the industrial site of the former RAFO refinery in Onesti. Supplies will be oriented to the local market, as well as to the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
