According to the State Tax Service, income tax revenues from individuals renting out real estate property increased by 26.8% in January-August against last year and amounted to 60 million lei, Logos Press reported.

The demand for rental housing traditionally grows in the fall. As a rule, at the beginning of the academic year it is fueled by students who do not want to live in a dormitory and are looking for a rented apartment. Real estate market operators in Chisinau in this regard predict an increase in rental costs by an average of 10-20%. At the same time, they note that they are talking mainly about the cheapest segment, as students are not interested in expensive apartments.

In the first half of 2025, revenues from the management and denationalization of state-owned property amounted to 499,349.43 thousand lei, Logos Press reported.

Warehouse real estate has shown the greatest resilience in recent years, especially after the pandemic and the start of a military operation in a neighboring country, compared to other segments.

The supply of cars and other vehicles purchased under financial leasing agreements concluded before January 1, 2026 will not be subject to VAT. – Logos Press reports.
