On Monday, June 16, the World Grape and Wine Congress will start, which will be held for the first time in the Republic of Moldova. The event is expected to be attended by more than 500 participants, researchers, winemakers, oenologists, producers and politicians from 51 member countries of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). Among them: OIV Director General John Barker, OIV President Yvette van der Merwe, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga and others.

Moldova confirms its status as a center of excellence in winemaking and becomes the venue for the most important international wine event. From June 16 to 20, 2025, our country will host the World Grape and Wine Congress. For the first time, Moldova, the country with the largest area of vineyards in the world in relation to the population (4 hectares per 100 people), is hosting this prestigious event.
