The demand price for export quality “Moldova” grapes last week fluctuated within 14-16 lei/kg, which experts consider quite good in the conditions of the current season, – reports Logos Press.

In Ukraine, prices for grapes in supermarkets are formed not by the domestic market, but by imports from Moldova and Turkey, Logos Press reports.

Cracking, i.e. cracking of grapes of fall varieties, is one of the most painful problems and reasons for the reduction of table grapes exports. Unfortunately, the recent precipitation almost everywhere in Moldova has activated the process of reducing the quality of this product, Logos Press reports.

At the end of next week Moldovan winegrowers will start mass harvesting of table grapes of the main export variety – “Moldova”. In general, the good condition of “Moldova” plantations allows us to hope that in 2025 the export of table grapes will exceed the record of 2023 – about 84 thousand tons.
