Due to unrelenting attacks on port and transportation infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odessa region, Ukrainian wheat and corn prices have been falling by $4-5/t weekly since early December, Logos Press reported.

The Moldovan government has decided not to extend the program of licensing of grain imports from Ukraine, and from January 1, 2026 the country will return to the normal import regime, – reports Logos Press.

The decline in the US dollar exchange rate will negatively affect the income of Moldovan grain traders, according to the Agrocereale Association, as reported by Logos Press.

At the end of June 2025, the price of food wheat and barley on Moldova’s grain market is stagnating at a relatively low level,” Loogos Press reports.
