The cold weather and snowfalls in Europe are forcing traders to more actively extract gas from underground storage facilities – since the beginning of the heating season more than 30 billion cubic meters have already been pumped out of UGS, according to Logos Press.

Snow, ice and abnormal frost have already provoked transportation collapse in a number of European countries, Logos Press reports.

Some meteorological resources have revised their forecasts for snowfall on Christmas night, but predictions for overnight frosts of up to minus 8-9 degrees Celsius remain in effect for now, Logos Press reported.
