Mihai Jurca, head of the Romanian Prime Minister’s Office, said that the Pascani-Siret and Pascani-Ungheni highways, financed through the European SAFE mechanism, are not just regional infrastructure projects, but key elements for military mobility, Logos Press reported.

Plans for the construction of the Iasi-Ungheni-Chisinau-Odessa highway, which had been frozen for an indefinite period, are back on the agenda of the relevant authorities in Chisinau. It is also expected to play the role of a new tourist route connecting the three countries. The length of the highway will be more than 320 kilometers, and the construction will cost 1.2 billion euros. The future of this project, among others, was discussed during a meeting with an official Romanian delegation at the Moldovan Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
