Moldova has the lowest electricity consumption per capita – 2,140 kWh per person, which is significantly lower than the European average, Logos Press reported.

According to the World Bank, Moldova has the lowest energy consumption per capita in Europe. In 2022, energy consumption per capita in Moldova will be only 1.42 tons of oil equivalent (toe).

The most consumed energy carriers in Moldova in 2023 were oil products and biofuels, Logos Press reported.
