Romania will gradually, starting October 12, 2025, introduce a new European Entry/Exit System (EES) that will automatically register the entry and exit of citizens from non-Schengen countries, Logos Press reported.

The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) informs international road carriers of the introduction by the European Union of a new electronic EU Eligibility System (EES) at the external borders of the Schengen area from October 12.

On October 12, the European Union will launch a new entry/exit system – EES, replacing traditional stamps in passports with digital biometric scanning for citizens of non-EU countries, including those who have the right to visa-free entry, – reports Logos Press with reference to Myfin.by.
