In 2025, the share of imported products in the cheese market of Ukraine increased from 38% to 45%. If the situation does not change, already in March-April 2026 Ukrainian producers will control less than half of the domestic market for this product, according to Logos Press.

Since February 1, Ukrainian milk processors have already lowered the price offered to dairy farms for raw materials of the highest grade by another 0.5-1 hryvnia/kg – to 13.5-14 hryvnia/kg.

In January-November 2025, Ukraine exported 121.53 thousand tons of dairy products worth $375.43 million, Logos Press reported.

Sour-milk products and cheese are the most stable commodity items in the assortment of local dairy producers, while the production of whole drinking milk has sharply decreased, Logos Press reported, citing a study by an industry association.
