Bull River

An international tender for the purchase of specialized machinery for cleaning the drainage network, engineering networks and operational support facilities, and other necessary equipment within the framework of a large-scale project to reconstruct the channel of the Bic River was announced on January 16, Logos Press reports.

The import and supply of goods and services intended for the project “Rehabilitation of the River Bull and flood protection in Chisinau” will be exempted from VAT and other related payments, Logos Press reports.

The project to restore the Byk River may receive a number of tax and customs privileges in order to reduce costs and ensure more efficient implementation. The relevant draft government resolution has been put up for public discussion.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide a grant of 700 thousand euros to Chisinau for technical support of the project on the restoration of the river Bull and flood protection, – reports Logos Press.
