Almost all apples sold in European retail contain mixtures of pesticides, with 71% of the cases among them and the most dangerous ones, Logos Press reported.

By the end of January 2026, wholesale prices for apples of red varieties on the Moldovan market increased on average by 0.5-1.0 lei/kg against the beginning of the first month of the year, Logos Press reported.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia presented data on exports of apples, which last year reached a record level of 20.6 thousand tons of products worth $14 million, Logos Press reports.

Just over 7 thousand tons of apples were exported from Moldova in October 2025, Logos Press reports.

About 200 thousand tons of apples have been processed by the beginning of November at five Moldovan factories producing apple concentrate, – reports Logos Press.

Just under 6.3 thousand tons of apples were exported by Moldova in September 2025 – this is almost 18% more than in the same month last year, – reports Logos Press.

Moldova did not receive an official notification about Russia’s blocking at the border and ban on import of more than 20 tons of Moldovan apples.

In March, Moldova exported 18.6 thousand tons of apples worth a total of $13.6 million (average invoice price of almost $0.74/kg). This was reported by Moldova Fruct Association with reference to the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova.
