At the end of the current week in the south and center of Moldova, nut growers will start mass harvesting of early exported walnut variety “Peschanski”, – reports Logos Press.

Even in case of normal development of the weather situation in the future, the 2025 walnut harvest will be about 20-30% lower than last year’s,” Logos Press reports citing the opinion of the leadership of the Association of Nut Growers of Moldova (ANRM).

Only early varieties of walnut orchards, mostly of local selection, suffered to some extent from April frosts. The medium- and late-maturing walnut orchards of French and American selection, at first impression, were not affected,” Logos Press reports.
