The outgoing parliament will be remembered for having worked for most of its mandate under a state of emergency (from March 2020 to February 2025 – almost continuously) and unprecedented openness on the part of the EU. It will also be remembered for the record number of women MPs (almost 40%) and the rather “young” average age of our parliamentarians – 47.
