Ukraine’s cheese exports stick to Moldova and Kazakhstan

Ukrainian cheese exports during 2025 added 17% compared to 2024, reaching 14.5 thousand tons, according to Logos Press.

Ukraine’s cheese exports stick to Moldova and Kazakhstan

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in monetary terms it allowed Ukrainian cheese makers to earn 23.2% more – $66.8 million.

The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheese in 2025 were Moldova (34.7%), Kazakhstan (30.3%) and Germany (9.3%).

At the same time, last year Ukraine imported 42.3 thousand tons of cheese – 10.4% more than a year earlier and three times more than it exported.

In monetary terms, cheese imports increased by 19.9%, compared to 2024 – to $272.3 million. This is four times more than was received from exports.

Cheese was imported to Ukraine mainly from Poland (43.4%), Germany (16.4%) and the Netherlands (8.1%).
