
Such a decision was made on April 4 by the Commission for consideration of applications for authorization to use the official or historical name of the State in a trademark/design or industrial design.
The said trademarks can be used on applications for various categories of goods and services: advertising; entertainment; baked goods and confectionery; agricultural products, aquaculture, horticulture; mineral and carbonated waters; fruit drinks and fruit juices; public catering services; temporary accommodation services, etc. The Commission decided on April 4.
According to the data on the website of the State Agency for Intellectual Property AGEPI), so far 183 companies from Moldova have been authorized to use the word “Moldova” in various interpretations.
