
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation to accelerate the Republic of Moldova’s path toward European integration and attract investment to our country.
According to the government’s press service, the head of the executive branch noted that European integration is a central goal of the government, and the current phase involves not only harmonizing legislation but also effectively implementing reforms that will improve citizens’ living conditions.
“The Republic of Moldova has a clear strategic direction: European integration, economic development, and strengthening resilience. We are working to turn these goals into tangible results that citizens will feel,” said Prime Minister Munteanu.
Support for Moldova Will Be Expanded
The parties discussed expanding the support provided by the Tony Blair Institute in managing and monitoring reforms related to accession to the European Union. The organization’s experience in developing mechanisms for implementing government programs and managing performance can help support national institutions in adopting European standards.
Issues related to fiscal policy, local government reform, and the creation of a more competitive investment environment were also addressed.
The Prime Minister emphasized the Republic of Moldova’s interest in attracting strategic European investments, particularly in digital technologies, energy, logistics, and manufacturing.
Sanna Marin expressed her readiness to support the Republic of Moldova in its modernization and European integration process, emphasizing the importance of strengthening institutional capacity, democratic resilience, and the consistent implementation of reforms.
