
Among them, total revenues and fees amounted to 17.7 billion lei – plus 15% compared to last year’s figure.
In contrast, revenues from externally financed projects decreased by 19%.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the revenues administered by the State Fiscal Service grew by 10.4% in the first quarter. Slightly below the tax growth of revenues collected by the Customs Service – 8.1%. The “other” revenues grew by almost 200%.
Thus, in the structure of revenues, taxes and fees amounted to 16 billion lei against last year’s 14.6 billion lei. Income tax was collected by 2.7%, VAT – by 13.2%, and excise duties – by 3% more than last year.
Grants worth 977 million lei were received this year. This is much more than last year’s indicator, when it amounted to only 279.4 million lei.
As for the expenditures, this item, along with the state budget’s non-financial assets, increased by 13% – up to 20 billion lei. Personnel expenses and transfers to other budgets, as well as grants provided by the state increased significantly.
The budget execution at the end of March 2025 ended with a deficit of 2.2 billion lei. The balance of funds on the state budget accounts amounted to 8.4 billion lei, of which almost 1 billion lei for projects financed from external sources.
