Authorities are laying the legal groundwork for the application in Moldova of EU debt collection procedures. Specifically, they propose that a debtor’s bank accounts be frozen without a prior recognition procedure.
As part of the process of harmonizing Moldovan legislation with EU legal standards, Moldova has developed new procedures for debt collection and the resolution of cross-border disputes. These procedures will take effect upon Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
