New norms are included in the draft amendments to the Contravention Code of the Republic of Moldova. The document was prepared by the Ministry of Justice in order to eliminate gaps in the regulation of Moldovan supervisory bodies’ activity and to increase the efficiency of control. Consultations on the draft will last until June 23.
The amendments are proposed to the article of the Code concerning the rules for the use of ICOs.
In order to eliminate the risk of double punishment for violation of the rules of cash register equipment use, part of the sanctions valid for legal entities will be excluded from the Contravention Code. The reason for this is that similar liability is also prescribed in the Tax Code.
In addition, it is proposed to introduce a new fine in the amount from 100 uU to 200 uU for officials of KCO providers. It is envisaged for the transfer to the STS of financial information that does not meet the technical requirements at the time of certification.
Another change concerns the limit of permissible surplus or shortage of funds in a cash register (tray) for KCO money or in another place specially designed for receipt and temporary storage of funds from current activities. It was proposed to be tripled – from 50 lei to 150 lei.
