Moldovan archers made a sensation in Bulgaria

In the final round, the Moldovan archers competed against their rivals from Georgia. The main round ended in a draw, and the winner was announced in an additional round – a “shootout”. Kasandra Berzan, Alexandra Myrka and Nicole Stryapunina won with the score 5:4. The bronze medals were won by the Ukrainian women’s team.

For the first time the best on the continent

Athletes from Moldova managed to win for the first time at the European Indoor Archery Championships among adults. In 2016, Alexandra Myrca and Dan Olaru became European champions among mixed teams, but that tournament in Nottingham (UK) was held outdoors.

At the European Championships in Plovdiv, 315 athletes from 27 countries took part. Archers played 15 sets of medals.
