The intrigue in the championship remained until the last round of the Super League, in which Sheriff (Tiraspol) hosted Milsami. The Orhei club had a one-point lead. The decisive match ended in a 0-0 draw, which suited the Red Eagles.

Victory in the championship allows “Milsami” to get the only way for Moldovan clubs to the 1st qualifying stage of the Champions League. The opponent will be determined later during the draw at the UEFA headquarters.

The main rival of Sheriff in the fight for the 2nd place – Zimbru (Chisinau) – in a parallel match defeated CSF Bălți with the score 3:1. The top scorer of the tournament was CSF Bălți player Caio Ferreira Martins, who scored 12 goals (one from a penalty kick) in the two stages of the Super League. The second place was shared by Milsami midfielder Radu Ginsari and Spartanii-Sportul’s Ghanaian legionnaire Isaac Oppong, who scored 9 goals each (two from penalties).
