According to the National Social Insurance Fund, the money was transferred to the beneficiaries’ social card – the account in which each beneficiary receives a pension, allowance, compensation or other social payment.

Veterans who do not have a social card can pick up the money at any post office in the country.

It is worth mentioning that the veterans of the Second World War annually receive a financial aid of 10,000 lei. This year, the amount has been increased to 30,000 lei in line with a draft law approved by the parliament.

Currently, 24 veterans of the Great Patriotic War live in Moldova.
