The Agricultural Governance, Growth, and Resilience Investment (AGGRI) grant applications were accepted from December 20, 2024 through April 4, 2025. As announced by the Agriculture Interventions and Payments Agency (AIPA), a total of 13 applications were received. Of these, six were for support and development of dairy cattle farms, and seven projects related to sheep production. Most of the cases were submitted to the Territorial Office of Hincesti.
Both individual farmers and groups of producers working in the field of livestock production can receive financial support in the form of grants. Grants can be used for construction and modernization of livestock farms, purchase of technological equipment and photovoltaic panels, equipping of milking parlors, installation of protective fences for animals, and purchase of breeding animals.
According to the AGGRI terms and conditions, eligible farmers must contribute at least 50% of the investment cost to the project financing and submit the necessary documentation, including a long-term business plan.
The grant part of AGGRI is financed from the loan that the Government of RM received from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development directly for the realization of this project. It was launched in January 2024.
The first grant competition was held on January 15 – May 17, 2024 for the subproject “Breeding of dairy and mixed cattle”. 31 applications were submitted.
The second competition was held from May 20 to August 2, 2024 under the subproject “Breeding of sheep and goats of dairy and mixed direction for meat production”. Seven farms participated in it.
Last year, out of a total of 38 cases, 15 were approved, 21 applications were rejected, and two were still pending.
