As Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov emphasized, this is an important stage in the development of industrial cooperation, aimed at gradually increasing the localization of automotive component production in Belarus.

The document provides for expanded cooperation in the production of multimedia systems for automobiles. This involves key elements of digital architecture—the instrument panel, multimedia display, and control unit.

Mass production is scheduled to begin in early 2027, according to the BELTA news agency, citing the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Industry.

The Belgee X50+ is an updated version of the Geely Coolray crossover, the rights to assemble and locally modify which the Belarusian plant purchased from the Chinese conglomerate.

Production is being handled by the Belarusian-Chinese joint venture CJSC “BELGI”

The cooperation agreement was signed between CJSC “BELGI” and the Belarusian holding company “Horizon.” Negotiations between the parties lasted six months.

Production of multimedia systems will be organized at one of the holding company’s facilities.

The project aims to further develop expertise in the field of industrial electronics and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty.

The launch of production is also expected to contribute to the creation of additional jobs in the high-tech sector.
