The new industrial park will be located on a 9.56-hectare plot of land in the city of Ocnița and will serve as a multifunctional industrial platform. It will provide the conditions for various types of economic activity, including small-scale production and processing, in line with the region’s agro-industrial profile.
The development of this multifunctional industrial platform supports the implementation of reforms under the Reform Program associated with the Republic of Moldova’s Growth Plan for 2025–2027 (deadline: December 2027), which aims to create four multifunctional industrial platforms at the national level. The estimated cost of developing the platform is approximately 26.7 million lei, and its implementation is expected to create up to 200 jobs.
By establishing the “Ocnița” Industrial Park, the authorities aim to harness the economic potential of the area and strengthen the investment infrastructure in the Northern Development Region. This initiative will contribute to the development of the local business environment and reduce economic inequality between regions.
There are 13 industrial parks operating in the Republic of Moldova, which, by the end of 2025, will have brought together 144 resident enterprises. The total number of employees in these parks reached 4,497, and the cumulative volume of attracted investments amounted to approximately 4.6 billion lei.
