According to data provided by EnergoCom, approximately 14.6 million cubic meters of natural gas were consumed in May, which is nearly 55% less than in April, when consumption totaled approximately 32 million cubic meters.
Households remained the primary consumers of gas. In May, the population consumed more than 12.8 million cubic meters, which is nearly 52% less than the more than 26.6 million cubic meters consumed in April. This trend reflects the direct impact of more favorable weather conditions and reduced use of heating systems.
An even more significant decline was recorded among non-residential consumers. Companies and institutions consumed approximately 1.7 million cubic meters of gas in May, compared to 5.3 million cubic meters in the previous month. Thus, consumption in this segment decreased by approximately 68%.
