AGCO Corporation chose Moldova

The representatives of AGCO international group of companies discussed the agro-technological policy of the Republic of Moldova with MAIA Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga during their visit to Moldova.

During the dialog with the Ministry’s leadership, the representatives of this corporation noted that “Moldova was chosen as a regional market for the presentation of a new series of tractors from AGCO’s ‘brand portfolio'”, MAIA said in a statement on the occasion.

AGCO is one of the global leaders in the production and supply of agricultural machinery and equipment. The company offers the most complete line of tractors, combines, forage equipment, and self-propelled sprayers. In the product line of the corporation – such famous “tractor brands” as “Challenger”, “Fendt”, “GSI”, “Masa” GSI, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, as well as tillage equipment, mounted and trailed units and other components of agro-technological solutions for so-called “precision farming”.

The visit of the delegation to the Republic of Moldova is aimed at strengthening the dialog with the institutions that develop and implement policies in the agricultural sector, at better understanding the specifics of local agriculture, the investment needs of farmers and the possibilities of developing mechanisms that facilitate access to advanced technologies and integrated solutions for farms.

Minister Ludmila Katlabuga spoke about the priorities of the MAIA Ministry in the modernization of agricultural enterprises, the support measures available to farmers and the importance of innovation transfer in agro-technologies.

“It is important to us that farmers have access to comprehensive solutions including technology, financing, service, training and long-term support. Our goal is to modernize farms in the Republic of Moldova, regardless of the sector of activity, so that agricultural producers become more competitive and sustainable,” said Minister Ludmila Catlabuga.
