This was announced by Korean Ambassador Park Kichang during a working meeting with the director of the Moldovan Customs Service, Radu Vrabie.
According to the ministry’s information, the discussion focused on the consolidation of bilateral customs cooperation and the identification of priority areas for the coming period in the context of the intensification of economic ties between Moldova and Korea.
The meeting touched upon such topics as simplification of trade procedures, digitalization of customs clearance of foreign trade operations, development of information systems and strengthening of institutional capacities through training programs and exchange of best practices.
The sides stressed the positive development of Moldovan-Korean cooperation, including through the participation of customs officers in training and experience exchange programs organized by the Korean side, which contributes to the harmonization of national practices with international standards.
The meeting reiterated the two sides’ commitment to develop a sustainable partnership focused on modernizing the customs administration and facilitating international trade.
