This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community and Territory Development Oleksiy Kuleba. According to him, first of the year, ports are attacked on average every five days. 193 infrastructure facilities and 25 civilian ships were damaged. “Despite this, work does not stop. The bulk of transshipment is traditionally grain – more than 11.6 million tons. Also the segment of metal products – 1.2 million tons – is working steadily,” the Minister informed.
In addition, more than 63 thousand TEU of container transportation were handled for three months. This is 43% more than in the same period last year.
Kuleba noted that since the beginning of the “Ukrainian sea corridor” in September 2023, it has processed more than 190 million tons of cargo, of which more than 110 million tons – grain.
Earlier, representatives of Ukrainian government agencies noted that the stabilization of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor became one of the key factors in the activation of the land market and the increase in the average price of agricultural land in a number of regions of the country.
