Previously, Moldova had the right to export poultry and poultry products only from certain regions of the country not affected by outbreaks of avian influenza, as stipulated by European Union legislation.
The change came after no outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were reported in the last 12 months in areas from which fresh poultry and poultry products authorized for export to the EU originate.
Thus, the decision of the European Commission recognizes the high standards of public health and animal health applied in our country. At the same time, export opportunities for producers from the Republic of Moldova are expanding, stimulating the development of the poultry sector and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products.
