Deliveries will be made under recently concluded agreements between ADNOC and German companies. These agreements involve a deal for 1.6 mtpa of LNG from the Ruwais LG project once it comes on stream. ADNOC currently supplies German customers with 0.7 million tons per year of LNG from its old facilities, writes aftershock.news.

During the visit of the Chancellor of Germany to the UAE, ADNOC and RWE Supply & Trading GMBH (RWE) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to explore opportunities to supply LNG to Germany and European markets in the volume of up to 1 million tons per year for up to 10 years.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will also explore opportunities for cooperation in LNG trading, the expansion of regasification capacity in Germany and Europe, and new projects along the entire gas and LNG value chain.

The UAE and Germany continue to strengthen their energy partnership and ADNOC plays a key role in this. In December 2025, ADNOC-owned XRG completed the takeover of Germany’s Covestro AG, a leading global producer of high-quality polymer materials.

In addition, ADNOC delivered the first LNG cargo from the Middle East to Germany in 2023 and subsequently concluded several LNG supply agreements with German companies.
