Oleg Crecul re-elected as Chairman of the Moldovan Paralympic Committee

Paralympic Games champion, Merited Master of Sports Oleg Cretsul was re-elected for another five-year term at the head of the organization by a majority of votes at the Paralympic Committee meeting, Logos Press reports.

Oleg Cretsul expressed his gratitude for the trust and support. “I am very pleased that the team has given me confidence,” he said on social networks.

The meeting also elected the governing bodies of the organization, and representatives of Paralympic sports federations reported on their activities in 2025.

Crecul has been heading the Moldovan Paralympic Committee since 2018. He is a professional athlete, the 2008 Paralympic Games champion in para-judo, winning a silver medal in 2004 and a bronze medal in 2024. He is a four-time world champion, five-time European champion, and last year won a gold medal at the World Para-Sambo Championships for visually impaired athletes for the first time in his career.

Oleg Kretsul also founded a specialized judo sports school named after him.
