The contest “Trademark of the Year 2025” is organized by CCI and AGEPI in partnership with the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) and UNFPA Moldova. It is one of the most significant tools for brand promotion both on domestic and foreign markets. Its main goal is to recognize the efficiency, creativity and social responsibility of brand owners.

The winners are honored with the prestigious “Mercuriul de Aur” (“Golden Mercury”) award for the best marketing strategies. The selection is based on the evaluation of a professional jury and the results of a consumer survey.

Within the competition, brands can participate in one or more of the 14 categories. In 2025, 143 nominations were registered, of which 141 were awarded. Over the 22 years of the contest, more than 2,000 brands have participated in it.

In parallel, CCI RM, together with the Institute of Standardization of Moldova (ISM), the National Accreditation Center (MOLDAC) and the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection launches the XII edition of the contest “Award for Achievements in the Quality of Products and Services”. It is addressed to companies that have implemented effective quality management systems and promote the best practices in this field.

The main prize of the competition is the trophy “Zeița Calității” (“Goddess of Quality”), which is awarded for the most effective management strategies and achievements in the field of quality. In 2025, 50 companies participated in the competition, of which 44 became laureates and 6 received the status of diploma holders. Over the 11 years of the contest’s existence, 545 companies have received awards.

Natalia Mogol, Deputy General Director of AGEPI, mentioned that the contest “Trademark of the Year” has become a benchmark of quality and success both for the business environment and for the intellectual property system in Moldova: “A trademark is not just a distinctive sign, but a company’s identity and a guarantee of the quality of its products and services. Today, registering a trademark is no longer an option but a necessity: a protected trademark ensures legal security, facilitates entry into new markets, attracts investments and strengthens the position of companies in the long term”.

Key stages of the competitions:

– February 2, 2026 – official launch;

– March 10, 2026 – deadline for submission of bids;

– March 25, 2026 – closing date for receipt of bid dossiers;

– March 30 – April 10, 2026 – consumer survey and peer review;
