The government approved the adjustment of a number of normative acts in the field of construction, urban planning and housing so that they comply with the provisions of the new Urban Planning and Construction Code, which is the main legal framework in this field.
An important aspect concerns the rules on the provision of service housing. As a result of recent legislative changes, workers who are citizens of the European Union Member States and Schengen countries and legally working in the Republic of Moldova enjoy the same rights as Moldovan citizens with regard to access to office accommodation. The existing provision is being supplemented in order to ensure its uniform application in practice.
The mechanism of financing normative documentation in construction is also clarified, so that it fully complies with the Urban Planning and Construction Code.
A total of 17 normative acts are amended in order to consolidate a clear, functional legal framework adapted to modern realities in the field of construction, urban planning and housing.
