According to businessman Mircea Baciu, at the first stage the complex will include an apart-hotel, office premises, a bath and fitness complex, a viewing platform on the top floor, restaurants and other facilities. A commercial center is planned to be opened at the second stage, and the total area of the entire complex will be about 75-80 thousand square meters.
“We have a design permit and are cooperating with an international architectural company – a world leader in the field of complex and sophisticated design. The contract is now at the signing stage, we hope to conclude it in February. This is an English company, its scale is large, and they promise to make a project that will be interesting in 5-10 years,” Baciu said in a program on TVC21.
He emphasized that the building will be constructed according to modern standards of seismic resistance and with the use of advanced construction technologies.
“There are plenty of such buildings in different countries. Modern methods allow us to build a multifunctional center 150 meters high in Moldova,” the businessman assured.
When asked about the construction cost, Baciu said, “It is a very big money.” He also said that the investor has not been determined yet: “There are clear deadlines. Designing is a very interesting phase, especially for high-rise construction: it is other norms, other concrete, other metal. We believe that designing and obtaining permits will take about two years.”
Mircea Baciu owns 13 companies, including the Grand Hall and Baby Hall shopping centers, where the skyscraper is planned to be built.
