
This is evidenced by the data of the National Bureau of Statistics. Small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for 63.1% of the total number of registered companies during this period. Medium-sized enterprises include 104 enterprises with 50-249 employees, which accounted for 26.8% of all innovative companies during this period. Only 39 enterprises (10.1%) can be classified as large, with 250 or more employees.
The largest share in the total number of innovators was recorded by industrial enterprises, which accounted for 52.8% of the total number, the NBS specifies.
Of the total number of innovative enterprises, 6.4% carried out innovations in products, 56.2% declared innovations in business processes, and 37.4% carried out both types of innovations (in products and in business processes) simultaneously.
The share of enterprises declaring innovation activities in the total number of registered enterprises was 10.6%, compared to 11.4% in 2021-2022.
