Of the thousands of items imported, customs officials identify five strategic ones.
These are, first of all, natural gas. It was purchased for 12.9 billion lei. The second position is occupied by oil products – 12.5 billion lei. The three main import categories are automobiles, which were imported for a total of 8.4 billion lei.
Electricity supplies from the beginning of the year are estimated at 6.2 billion lei. The TOP-5 in terms of imported goods flow value is rounded off by medicines, which were imported to Moldova for 4.4 billion lei.
The Customs Service claims that it attaches great importance to transparency, safety and compliance with European standards of all imported products entering the Moldovan market.
