The Grand National Assembly Square was transformed into a living stage where tradition, passion and innovation of the wine art came together
The event gathered a record number of winemakers, wine lovers, tourists and officials in an atmosphere that celebrates the very essence of Moldova. Representatives of the authorities and the wine industry spoke about the impressive journey of Moldovan wine, the efforts to achieve excellence and how our wine is becoming a cultural ambassador of the country on international markets.
Stefan Iamandi, Director of the National Office of Grapes and Wine, noted:
“The current edition is the crowning achievement of the efforts made during this year, when the Republic of Moldova and Moldovan wine became even more visible on the international scene, thanks to the perseverance and high quality of the wines produced. The results obtained – medals and world events that we had the honor to host – strengthened the image of our country as a producer of wines of exceptional quality. The most important global platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices and innovations in the wine sector – the World Congress of Viticulture and Winemaking – was held here, in Moldova”.
A special place this year is occupied by the “Taster’s Passport”, which makes the participation in the festival even more interactive and modern: each visitor can scan a QR code, add his favorite wines, get access to 11 wines and choose one favorite, as well as get a tritanium glass and discounts on souvenirs. And those who leave 7 reviews receive an additional tasting as a gift.
